Wendy Chong Sun Award
The Wendy Chong Sun Award is Strikers ' highest club award. It is
awarded to a club member who makes an exemplary contribution to the
sport of hockey and to the Strikers Women's Hockey Club in the areas
of club spirit, teamwork, positive role model, and dedication.
This year, the award was given to Una Morrison. Una is a committed
member of Strikers 4 team. She has also worked tirelessly as club
schoolgirls convenor and in her commitment to the development of
juniors in hockey, she is the indoor convenor for PWHA.
Sponsorship
Strikers Women's Hockey Club
would be happy to hear from anyone who would be interested in
sponsoring our club. At present, our players have to pay for all
costs involved, including turf fees, hire of grounds, purchase of
equipment, costs of coaches and umpires. As many of our players are
young people who are students and only have part-time employment,
this makes it difficult for some players to continue to participate
in the sport.
If you are interested in
sponsoring us in some form, please
contact us by email on
